The 10th Tehran International Tourism Exhibit will open doors to the public this week.
Adopting the motto of “See Iran Differently”, the 10th edition of the Tehran International Tourism Exhibit will commence in the Iranian capital from February 6-9.
Representatives from 21 countries will participate in the upcoming expo, the executive director of the exhibition, Farhad Aminian, said on Saturday.
“The number of foreign participants [this year] has increased 158 percent compared to the year before,” the director said.
About 65 companies from other countries will showcase their potentials in the tourism industry.
Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, China, Brazil, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, France, Greece, South Korea, Vietnam, Cyprus, India, Germany, Georgia, Cambodia, the Maldives, Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Yemen are going to take part in the international event.
In addition, 381 domestic companies will be present at the exhibit this year, Aminian noted.
A number of programs, including workshops, forums and seminars on different aspects of tourism, will be held on the sidelines of the event.
The exhibition is organized by Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization. The event will bring the country under the spotlight in terms of its lavish natural and historical sites.
Iran remains one of the most touristic countries in the world, with a large number of attractive natural and historical sites.
